About GHK-CU
What it is
GHK-Cu is a complex of copper with the three-amino-acid peptide glycyl-histidyl-lysine. It is studied in cell systems involving fibroblasts, the cells that produce components of connective tissue.
How it works in research
Laboratory experiments have reported changes in collagen synthesis when fibroblasts are exposed to GHK-Cu. Researchers use these models to investigate copper-peptide interactions and extracellular-matrix biology.
What the evidence means
Cell-culture results do not establish cosmetic or medical benefits from this vial. Findings from topical preparations also cannot establish the safety of other routes of use.
